Category: 18 Mesh

Our Bobbles™ Series celebrate iconic figures with hand-painted needlepoint canvases designed to be stitched, displayed, and collected - each one a little work of art.

The Darwin Bobble celebrates one of history's greatest askers of why. At 26, Darwin sailed to the Galápagos and noticed something small: finches with different beaks on different islands — a tiny detail that quietly rewrote our understanding of all life on Earth through his theory of evolution.

Dimensions: 2” × 5” design (6” x 9” canvas) on 18 mesh

Finishing Ideas: Can be finished beautifully as a stand-up, display piece, ornament, or framed.

Inspired by the life and legacy of Charles Darwin.

Claire N. ★★★★★

The detail in Darwin's face is so sharp on this 18 mesh canvas, it almost makes the stitches paint themselves. It’s a fun little piece that’s genuinely satisfying to work on.

Scarlett O. ★★★★★

I've stitched a lot of 18 mesh canvases and this one has some of the crispest hand-painted detail I've worked with. The little bobble beard is surprisingly fun to build up in French knots. It's going straight into a frame when I finish.

Evelyn H. ★★★★★

I've never stitched on 18 mesh before and now I get why people rave about it — the holes are easy to see without straining my eyes. The hand-painted design is detailed enough that I'm actually enjoying the slow pace instead of rushing through it.
